濫用される国際比較調査と日本の世論形成: International Fertility Decision-making Survey と少子化社会対策大綱

日本人の妊娠・出産の知識レベルが低いことの根拠資料とされ、2015年「少子化社会対策大綱」における「妊娠・出産に関する医学的・科学的に正しい知識についての教育」の数値目標設定にも使われた International Fertility Decision-making Study (Cardiff University, 2009-2010) について、対象者構成の問題のほかに、調査設計と質問文翻訳に焦点を当て、問題点を明らかにする。また、なぜこの調査結果が日本の政策を決定するほどの大きな影響力を持つに至ったかを考察する。資料として、公表されている各種文献のほか、独自に入手した日本語版調査票を利用する。
